Engine generators (gen-sets) based upon small diesel engines, are today the preferred solution in the automotive industry for providing power when stationary. These generators are limited by low fuel economy and high emissions of pollutants, both of which can be resolved by replacing the gen-set with a combination of fuel reformer and fuel cell stack, i.e. PowerPac.
PowerCell is developing its own APU, PowerPac, engineered to be a compact and reliable system able to generate electricity at a high power density with ultra low emissions of NOx,HC,CO,SOx and PM.
