Hydrogen is the simplest element in the universe

Hydrogen is a chemical element with the symbol H and atomic number 1. With just one proton and one electron, it is the most common element in the universe.

Hydrogen is an alternative fuel that has very high energy content by weight. Hydrogen can be produced from diverse, domestic resources including fossil fuels, biomass, and water electrolysis with wind, solar, or grid electricity. The environmental impact and energy efficiency of hydrogen depends on how it is produced. If the hydrogen is produced by renewable energy, such as wind and solar, there are no pollutants emitted, just water. Hydrogen is an enabler of zero emission society.
